The Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario (HRTO) has established the following approach to requests for interpretation services. The procedure outlined below provides general information only. It is not a rule within the meaning of the HRTO’s Rules of Procedure. The HRTO may vary the approach where appropriate.
If a party requires language or sign language interpretation services to fully participate in an event, and makes a request in writing, the HRTO will provide for interpretation services to be available to the requesting party during the event at no charge.
Requests for interpretation services must be made to the Registrar in writing as early as possible and well in advance of any scheduled event.
Requests for French language services should be made using the Request for French Language Services Form. For information on French language services (FLS), please see French language services.
Please contact the Registrar by email to make your request at hrto.registrar@ontario.ca.
